Newark’s Grammy Museum is known for its exhibits on music history and live artist performances.
But events such as these cannot occur now due to the COVID-19 pandemic. But the museum has found a way to stay engaged with its audience by going virtual. The Grammy Museum Experience Prudential Center is putting out an interview with a different musician every weekday at 3 p.m.
The 5-10-minute video segments are with veteran and emerging artists who offer insight and advice on the music business.
Singer-songwriter Alice Kristiansen is among the artists featured. She built a social media following of more than 1 million by posting her own music videos online.

“I’m really, really used to filming myself, which I think is something that’s come in handy now that I can’t go out and perform,” she says.
The series is hosted by the museum director of programming Mark Conklin.
“Hopefully it’s a little nugget of information and inspiration that they can then use for their own creativity and their own music and their own art,” Conklin says.
More information about the program can be found on the museum’s website.
