Gov. Murphy signed a new law Friday to help ease student loan debt for New Jersey students.
The Consumer Protection Law adjusts tuition for career-based higher education programs to match expected wages for post-graduation.
The law applies to all public, private and for-profit colleges and universities in the state. It also requires the Office of the Secretary of Higher Education and Department of Labor to set performance quality standards for the programs.
