Gov. Phil Murphy is saying it's unvaccinated individuals who are feeding the rapid increase in the rate of transmission, as new COVID-19 cases are on the rise.

Gov. Phil Murphy is saying it's unvaccinated individuals who are feeding the rapid increase in the rate of transmission, as new COVID-19 cases are on the rise.
"I cannot put it any more succinctly: The vaccines work,” says Gov. Murphy. “They are proving more than 99.9% effective in preventing people from contracting the virus, more than 99.99% effective in keeping people out of the hospital, and more than 99.999% effective in keeping people out of the morgue."

The governor went onto say -- "We do not have a pandemic among the vaccinated. We only have a pandemic among the unvaccinated."
He also added in New Jersey, vaccination numbers continue to climb.
Over 5.1 million people who live, work, or study in the state are now fully vaccinated.
