Gov. Murphy: 27 new school outbreaks in past week; total outbreaks account for over 500 COVID-19 cases

There have been 27 new outbreaks just in the past week, bringing the statewide total since August to nearly 100 school outbreaks.

There have been 27 new outbreaks just in the past week, bringing the statewide total since August to nearly 100 school outbreaks.
The outbreaks account for more than 500 total cases of COVID-19, spanning 84 districts. There are 444 cases among students, and 77 among staff members.

Sixty-two are in Passaic County, 47 in Monmouth County, 43 in Atlantic County and 42 in Camden County.

Burlington and Warren counties are the only ones with zero outbreaks in schools.
