Gov. Chris Christie marked the third anniversary of Superstorm Sandy by visiting Moonachie.

Christie met with residents and small-business owners from Moonachie, Little Ferry and Carlstadt, many of whom are still recovering.

Family-owned Booth Movers moved to Moonachie in 2001. They employ 45 people, but after Sandy, Vice President Adam Padla said the company lost clients and turned to relying on cash reserves and a grant from the New Jersey Economic Development Authority to stay solvent.

Christie offered words of support to those still rebuilding.

"There will not be a family who is hurting still today who will not have their issues addressed," Christie said.

Meanwhile, homeowners worry about the next storm while still recovering from Sandy.

The Community Development Disaster Program is available to small businesses through the New Jersey Economic Development Authority. It's in the process of releasing $120 million in grants and loans to 1,200 small businesses since Superstorm Sandy.
