Paterson Mayor Andre Sayegh says his city needs more vaccines, and he made the request Wednesday outside International High School, where hundreds of people were lined up to get their shot.
"Our plea is that we support your effort, your bold vision to vaccinate 100 million Americans in 100 days,” says Mayor Sayegh. “We support the president using the Defense Production Act to accelerate vaccine distribution, but we need you to support us to make sure that we get the vaccine. Give us the vaccines and we'll finish the job."
Paterson's vaccination center is open to people outside of the city as long as they live, work, or study in New Jersey and meet the current vaccination criteria.
No appointment is necessary. Vaccinations are first come, first serve.
