Construction will force motorists driving into New York on the George Washington Bridge to use the upper level during overnight hours.
The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey says the lower level eastbound lanes will be closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday through Thursday. They'll also be closed from 11 p.m. Friday through 8 a.m. on Saturday.
The lane closures will allow workers to remove temporary construction platforms used during installation of the deck on the upper level.
Similar closures are expected to continue through mid-October.
