Gas prices in New Jersey are already higher than they were last year at this time, even with lower demand for gas.
The average price of gas in New Jersey is around $2.92 – up from around $1 from this time in 2020. And now that more people are driving and commuting once again, more drivers are filling up their tanks.
According to GasBuddy.com, the cheapest gas currently in New Jersey is in New Milford, Bergen County. A gallon of gas at the Delta station on Henley Avenue costs $2.53 per gallon.
Many New Jersey residents tell News 12 New Jersey that the price of gas won’t impact their Easter holiday weekend. Although some said that they were opting for stay-at-home celebrations due to the cost.
