(AP) - They're playing for keeps at Revel, starting tonight.
Atlantic City's newest casino resort is holding the first of three invitation-only trial runs, designed to see how well equipment, systems and procedures work before the facility throws its doors open to the public Monday morning.
Invited guests include construction workers who helped build the $2.4 billion resort, and neighborhood residents.
All the money is real. Winners get to keep it, and losers have to part with it - just like in every other casino.
State casino regulators will be paying close attention to how things go, in case any changes are needed before Monday's opening.
Revel will be Atlantic City's 12th casino, and the first to open since the Borgata debuted in 2003.
