For many families, this past summer was packed with outings to the beach and other outdoor activities. With the school year officially kicked off, there's no need to stop the outings dead in their tracks. September is best known for winding down and getting back into the swing of school schedules. WILD Outdoor Expo

Every year, as soon as September 1st arrives, it feels as though fall is upon us when in fact we're still very much warmed by summer's weather and there's plenty to do outdoors. If you're in the Ocean County area, you can appreciate just that at the New Jersey Wild Outdoor Expo. Whether you're a crafter or fisherman, or want to shop and eat, they have a full schedule lined up with seminars, activities, and demos on both days!

Dinosaur Park

Kids looking for a thrill should visit the new Dinosaur Park in Secaucus. The attraction is like a Jurassic Park brought to life right in Hudson County! From T-Rex feedings to Dino meet and greets, the park is sure to deliver experiences never before experienced. And although the school year has just begun, start thinking of things to do on those days off. The park is open on school holidays in September. So, no need to stay home - go out and discover your inner paleontologist!

Radio Technology Museum

In a world where iPods and TV dominate today's generation, here's the perfect opportunity to show them what came before. At the Radio Technology Museum in Wall Township, children can see the evolution of radios made from the 1920s and on. As they make their way through the museum, they can also see the very first televisions with screens so small they required a magnifying lens!



While you're at the Radio Museum, check out what the rest that the InfoAge Science Center has to offer. From electronic warfare to to the Shipwreck Museum, you're guaranteed to find something that will pique your interest.
