There was some much-needed holiday cheer spread in Keyport Wednesday as the "Friends of the Bayshore" event adopted families in need this Christmas.
Seventy-five volunteers handed out gifts to 152 families to ensure children of all ages received a little something this holiday season.
"Our motto is ‘it is better to give than to receive,’ and to put a smile on many children's faces on Christmas morning, that's the nicest thing you could do for somebody," said John Merla, chairman of Friends of the Bayshore.
This was the 12th year of "Friends of the Bayshore's" event.
