Sussex County residents spent Saturday cleaning up the damage caused by strong overnight thunderstorms.
Diane Smith, of Franklin, says her daughter was sitting outside their house when she heard a large tree fall onto the home. Smith says workers had to use a crane to remove it.
Franklin Mayor Paul Crowley says dozens of trees were snapped in half, and many homes and cars were damaged. Despite the debris and trouble of cleaning up, Crowley says he's relieved no one was injured.
