American Airlines is investigating an incident between two passengers on a flight out of Newark Airport.
Amani Ali-KahthatBeh, founder of the "Muslim Girl" website, says she was removed from the plane by police and detained.
Ali-KahthatBeh, who also ran for Congress in New Jersey, wrote on Twitter that "an entitled white man" cut her on the TSA line, which sparked an altercation.
The airline says she was upset over what she perceived to be favorable treatment toward a man during boarding.
