Clothing will no longer be optional at a large resort and campsite in Mount Olive.

The former home of the Goodland Country Club - a nudist resort that closed in 2024 - just sold for $1,350,000, according to a real estate agent from KW Integrity. The historic 35-acre property features campsites, an inground pool, cabins, picnic areas, fire pits and courts for various sports. The focal point of the property is a large, Victorian-era mansion.

In 2024, the owners of the country club posted on Facebook, informing visitors that the nudist resort was permanently closing after 50 years in business.

"It has been an incredible journey, and I am deeply grateful for the relationships I have fostered, as well as the memories created with each of you. This is a bittersweet period for me, but it is now time to focus on my personal life as I move forward," the owner said in the post.

According to the realtors, the new owner of the property plans to restore the ground.

"The new owners are excited to restore this beautiful property to its former grandeur - this time as a family-friendly destination, without the nudity," Ashley Dellamo of KW Integrity said. "While the transformation will take several years due to approvals and planning required, they are committed to preserving its historic charm and binging this remarkable property back to its full potential."

Earlier this year, the property was put on the market for $2.9 million. Since the property lies within New Jersey Highlands regulations, it can’t be redeveloped.
