A former teacher at Marlboro Memorial Middle School who was accused of inappropriate sexual contact has been acquitted of the charges.
Jenna Sciabica was charged with one count of harassment-offensive touching. A student’s mother alleged that Sciabica groped her daughter in the school hallway in March.
"It's downright disgusting. It's horrific, the allegations that were made,” said attorney Mitch Ansell.
Ansell says that Sciabica and the student’s family knew each other for several years before the alleged incident and had a familiar relationship.
“That's what was so shocking is because she was in the home as recently as a week before this incident with no issues. Everything was fine. They have a joking relationship, like an aunt and a niece would, and that's all that happened in school that day on the video and the judge was convinced of that,” Ansell says.
News 12 reached out to the family accusing Sciabica for comment but did not year back.
