A former employee of the Long Island Rail Road will spend eight months in prison for allegedly lying on his timesheets.
According to the MTA, Thomas Caputo made nearly $350,000 in overtime in 2018.
That made him the highest paid paid employee at the MTA that year.
An investigation later found Caputo did no work any of those hours.
In addition to prison, Caputo was given three years of supervised release with six months of home confinement.
