New Jersey saw mostly sunny skies Wednesday on the seventh day of temperatures above 90 degrees.
News 12 New Jersey Meteorologist Dave Curren says that the sunny weather is expected to last for most of Thursday, but rain is expected for Friday and the weekend.
Wednesday's overnight hours should see mostly clear skies with some clouds. Temperatures may cool into the 70s.
Thursday should start off mostly sunny with some clouds expected to develop. Curren says that isolated thunderstorms are possible in the southern half of the state.
Friday is expected to be mostly cloudy with thunderstorms. The afternoon hours could see significant storms, according to Curren.
Scattered rain showers are expected for the rest of the weekend as well.
