Flooding along many streets in Hoboken made for a rough day Friday for those trying to get around the area.

Heavy rains pounded most of the Garden State Friday, causing flooding in many areas. In Hoboken, city officials urged residents to stay home until the heavy rain passed.

Officials also had to cancel street sweeping because of the weather.

City officials are urging residents to avoid flooded areas and to not be fooled even though the rain has stopped.
