Thousands of New Jersey residents gathered along the Hudson River Saturday for the first Macy's fireworks display there since the 9/11 terror attacks.
The fireworks show, which is usually held over the East River, was moved to the Hudson this summer to celebrate the 400th anniversary of the exploration of the Hudson River. The fireworks were shot off six barges lined up from Hoboken to Weehawken.
Police say Boulevard East was closed to traffic Saturday for the show. The fireworks display is the nation's largest, with more than 22tons of pyrotechnics.
