8h agoFirefighters were forced to evacuate from a house fire in Irvington because of a possible collapse.
The fire broke out on Mill Road around 3 p.m. Monday. Thick, black smoke could be seen from the Garden State Parkway.
Fire officials say that the fire spread to nearby homes, causing residents to evacuate. The American Red Cross is helping to relocate those who were displaced.
No injuries were reported.
