Firefighters battled a large fire Wednesday evening on Summer Street in Paterson.

The fire started around 9 p.m. inside a home and then spread to several other buildings due to breezy conditions.

Officials said firefighters from neighboring towns came to help battle the blaze in the bitter cold weather.

There were no immediate reports of any injuries. The fire reportedly displaced a couple dozen people.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
