White powder found in a Weston building Monday was deemed non-hazardous, fire officials say.
Police officers, along with firefighters, responded to 12 Old Mill Road at 11:20 a.m. for a hazardous material investigation involving an unknown white powder inside the building.
Fire officials say hazardous materials technicians from the fire department entered the building to investigate and perform tests.
They determined the white powder came from a discharged fire extinguisher and did not pose any hazard.
