A fire in Edison Thursday morning delayed the start of classes at a nearby elementary school, township officials told News 12 New Jersey.
Washington Elementary School was operating on a two-hour delay schedule Thursday, while crews battled a fire on Winthrop Road. According to the school’s website, classes began at 10:30 a.m. Thursday.
The cause of the fire was not immediately clear.
