A Paterson home was badly damaged by a Friday on Monday.

The fire was reported on East 22nd Street. The next-door neighbor saw the fire and called 911.

“So, my wife and me both work from home and then the neighbor from the back of the house started shouting, ‘Fire, fire.’ We saw it. It was like a lot of fire coming out from the second floor,” says Fernando Hidalgo.

Authorities say all residents were able to get out safely, including the family dog. No injuries were reported.
