A federal inmate is facing a life sentence for killing a fellow prisoner in Otisville, according to prosecutors.
Authorities say 65-year-old Daniel Smith killed Patrick Deck, 61, at the federal facility in 2021.
At the time of the incident, he had been incarcerated for a prior assault.
He was convicted of first-degree murder on Friday and is set to be sentenced in December.
