Police in Trenton are canvassing the city streets looking for information about a suspicious fire that claimed the life of a 10-year-old girl. Investigators say the blaze that killed Daisha Hopkins was deliberately set and could be the result of witness intimidation. Hopkins' mother had testified against a man who was convicted last year of running a crack house next to their home. Prosecutors say there was evidence at Isaac "Chin" Barlow's trial that he was trying to locate witnesses so he could get rid of them. ?I'm appealing to the mothers and the fathers and the grandparents, sisters, brothers, and just human beings that live in this city to think if it was your family, [you would] want people to come forward,? says Trenton Mayor Doug Palmer.Authorities have not named any suspects or ruled out any motives in Sunday's fire. The death has been ruled a homicide.
