Family members, friends and neighbors rallied Sunday along a Woodbridge road, calling for justice for a teenager killed in a speeding car.
Jennifer Metzger's parents say the driver of the car she was in should be charged for speeding. Currently, state law requires proof of recklessness, which prosecutors say the case is lacking.
Metzger, who was 16 when she was killed, died in a crash near Main Street and Route 1 in May. The driver is not suspected of drinking or taking drugs before the crash.
Metzger's parents have drawn up a petition to the attorney general to have the case reopened and penalties stiffened for non-DUI crashes that end in death.
