A family is safe after a house fire broke out at a home in Jersey City.
Firefighters responded to Baldwin Avenue near Magnolia Avenue after reports of a fire Tuesday morning.
Officials said the blaze appears to have started in the rear porch area of the home.
Fire crews were able to bring the fire under control.
A resident told News 12 that everyone who was inside the home got out safely.
The resident also said all family pets were accounted for and unharmed.
While firefighters remain on scene, there does not appear to be significant damage visible from the front of the property.
Neighboring residents were able to remain in their homes.
The cause of the fire has not been released.
