News 12 is downtown where the second largest Halloween parade in the world steps off tonight.

The 85th annual Halloween Parade is put together by the Toms River Volunteer Fire Company #1. The parade has been a tradition since 1919 but wasn't held sometimes though the years for various reasons. The parade draws thousands of people downtown, declaring it the second-largest Halloween parade in the world by the Guinness Book of World Records.
