Time to fall back into news 12 as we head back to Freehold, our Lauren de is highlighting local businesses there. She's at Roberto's Freehold Grill this morning grabbing some breakfast. Lauren. Exactly. You gotta love a good diner mug too. First we have to talk to Jeff from down uh town Freehold to talk about what exactly this flavor of Freehold is and who benefits? Because this is a great event. Thank you so much for coming to Downtown Freehold. The flavor of Freehold. Well, downtown Freed is a nonprofit that supports 100 and 60 events a year and the flavor of Freehold is a dine around going about 15 different restaurants and nine different shops where you get to sample their different cuisines and see what they sell and all the money raised with $25 a ticket. And the money goes to the Municipal Alliance to prevent substance abuse. What a great cause and what a great event too. I love. We were just talking, you get to sample food and we're going to bring in Roberto here from Roberto's Freehold Grill and food. Are you gonna be serving us tonight? We're serving um homemade Beijing waffles and, uh, soup. So you're gonna stay open later because what are your hours from 730 to 230? Amazing. And we have the menu here and I love this. It looks like the breakfast combos are all street names in Freehold. I mean, how did you come up with that concept? You know what, this one when I was working on my menu? Just one night I wake up and say, ah, shut down. So, if you've been in town for a while, this is your first business, what do you enjoy the most about being in Freehold to be a part of the community? Yes, it's that good. What do you think, Jeff? I agree. We've got a tight knit community, a tight knit business community that all work together to make this town a thriving place. It is. So tell me about the Freehold Alliance and what it's all about. Well, downtown Freehold, a nonprofit that supports all sorts of charitable causes. This particular event, the Flavor Freehold supports the municipal uh excuse me, the Freehold Alliance to prevent substance abuse and that money helps go support, bring programs in to help the kids, you know, avoid drug addiction and alcohol abuse. Exactly. So we're going to showcase some of the businesses that are helping support that cause as well. So we're gonna bring in Cali here. So this is a spa. What type of services do you offer here? So we offer a wide range of services to help our members and non members uh to maintain their self care. I mean, it looks like Fall downtown. This is great. It is Fall downtown. We're getting ready for our season finale concert series tonight, Wednesday night featuring Nine South. We got our Flavor of Freed and then coming up, we got a whole ray of spectacular events. There's a parade at the end of the month. There's a haunted hayride. There's always so much going on here in downtown Field and you always need to look good. So Lisa with Lila Salon who is Lila if you're Lisa. So I'm Lila. It's a family nickname that just stuck with me forever. So here it is. Now, we need the salon. Your hair looks fabulous on boarding. And so what services do you specialize in? So we specialize in all services, honestly. Um We definitely love our color. Um But we do everything across the board. Amazing. Do you wanna talk about your new service that you have? Yes, it's really cool. Follow us. We have a pop up right now for our head spot that's coming to Freehold very soon. So you should stay tuned for that. We've got our Halloween events coming up. We've got our Christmas events in a few months brunch with Sanny here, breakfast with Santa at Sweet Lo. There's always something going on. What dish are you gonna be serving tonight? We have um our lobster, mac and cheese. It is the amazing dish it's served with mac and cheese, lobster and then you have truffle inside of it. It is amazing. It is hearty. It is the best thing to have for the fall. Amazing. Ok. So tell me about the standard and what type of cuisine is it here? It's inside a hotel. Yes, we do have 20 boutique rooms which many people wouldn't believe, but they are functioning hotel rooms. And then we also have many events that go on Monday nights. We have our burger night and that's buy one specialty burger, get one for $5. Thursday nights. We have our ladies nights with a lot of specialty drinks at the bar. And then Fridays, we have comedy shows once a month. And then we also have a piano player that plays in the restaurant during dinner. Ok. So lot of cheese, um, that lobster mac and cheese with the truffles. What other, uh, dishes and drinks do you recommend? Um, our pink grapefruit cosmo is a very good drink. We also do a winter and summer mojito. That is perfect for both of the seasons. And then, uh, we have chicken and waffles. Amazing. And then all of our steaks are awesome. All right, Britney.
