(AP) - Cinderella's carriage is on its way hometo Belleville, and police who investigated its theft say they'refeeling a little like Prince Charming.
Belleville Police Capt. Mark Minichini said Tuesday that themissing carriage with its four pink ponies, built as a float forthe Belleville-Nutley Columbus Day Parade, was recovered after anunsuspecting man bought it for $45 from two men believed to havestolen it.
The 7-foot tall parade float disappeared Saturday from aBelleville construction company property. Owner Mike Perronesuspected a prank.
Minichini said the man who bought it from the suspects' pickuptruck thought it would make a cool playhouse for his daughter. Hecalled police after a relative told him she'd seen a TV news reportabout the theft.
Police are looking for the two suspects.
