The Fair Lawn Planning Board is meeting to decide the next steps for the former Nabisco factory site.
Officials canceled plans in May to implode the remaining portion of the tower.
According to Greek Development, the decision came after "extensive dialogue with local communities and businesses.” The developer said they plan to use an alternative method that doesn't involve explosives.
This will be the final hearing before the planning board moves forward.
The implosion will not be discussed, but the board will vote on whether or not a warehouse will be built on the site once demolition is complete.
