4h agoAn evacuation plan was put into place after hundreds of drums of chemicals were found in Howell Township.
There was a fire at the former Compounders Inc. site on Marl Road in Howell last month. During the cleanup, drums containing adhesives and asphalt were found.
All potential evacuation areas are within 1 mile of the cleanup site.
The Environmental Protection Agency has a meeting scheduled for March 21 to discuss a plan to remove the waste.
The EPA says that right now those living near the site are not at risk.
