A fundraiser to benefit spinal cord injury therapies will be held at Rutgers’ Highpoint Stadium April 28.
The fundraiser is being hosted by Rutgers alum Eric LeGrand, who was paralyzed while playing football for the school.
The fundraiser will be a flag football tournament to be held on Rutgers Day. Teams will get to play on the field at the stadium at the university.
“If I’m going to start doing some sporting events…the first one had to be football,” LeGrand says. “This is what made me the person I am today, the game of football.”
The winning team will take home a specially made championship belt.
All of the money will go to charity. Information about how to sign up can be found
