Belmont Lake State Park in West Babylon sits adjacent to the Southern State Parkway and is perfect for picnicking.

There are plenty of places to play and have fun with your family - including your fur babies! There's a brand new dog run for them.

There's almost 8 miles of paved trails to hike or bike, so it is easy to walk through the woods and cross the footbridge over the Carrls River.

The main attraction is Belmont Lake. There's a paved path to walk around it that’s just about a mile long.

And if you have a New York state fishing license you can fish from the dock. There are lots of largemouth bass and even some trout.

You can rent kayaks, rowboats and paddle boats. It costs $20 to rent any boat for up to two hours.
