Employees with Lowe's were at Packanack Elementary School in Wayne putting in new cedar garden beds, with soil and mulch.
The new garden will help students learn about planting and recycling.
By the end of the week, the kids will be planting
"Planting something and having a responsibility for taking a seed and putting it the ground, watching it grow, being responsible to water the plant, weed around the plant to make sure its growing and thriving," says Laura Mango, Chairperson, Packanack School Gardens.
According to school officials, because of the garden, students are more likely to eat vegetables.
