A mostly cloudy and foggy morning lifts to sunshine for this afternoon. Although the fog is not everywhere in New Jersey to start the morning, it is an indicator of the humidity. The sea breeze at the beaches today will be beautiful and the highs reach the mid-80s this afternoon.
There could be some spotty thunderstorms this afternoon and evening, but they are very limited. Most communities stay dry today and through the weekend. A typical summer-like experience is underway for the weekend with a pleasant sea breeze, warm sunshine, and a spot/rogue thunderstorm in the evening somewhere inland.
A front approaches on Monday, sending a line of thunderstorms to New Jersey, which could be strong to severe. Everyone will experience rain sometime on Monday afternoon and evening. There will likely be a heat wave midweek next week.
