An SUV plowed into a Dunkin’ Donuts in Elizabeth, causing damage and closing down the store.

The accident happened around 6:15 a.m. on Elmora Road.

The owner tells News 12 the driver may have accidentally shifted into drive instead of reverse. He said at the time of the accident, one customer was sitting in the area that was hit.

He said the woman who was driving had to be extricated from her vehicle by firefighters due to the damage to her car.

The store will likely remain closed until repairs are completed.

There were no injuries to report.
