News 12 Meteorologist Mike Rizzo explains that this year's El Niño pattern is responsible for sending New Jersey high-moisture winter storms like the ones of the last few weeks.

Rizzo says late winter storms may be particularly challenging to forecast since they will provide many close-call predictions between rain and snow for our area. As always with winter weather, it's important to follow day-by-day to check in with any changes to be best prepared.
