7h agoTuan Phan, of Edison, was killed and Hahn Huynh hospitalized after they were struck by a car on Route 27 North late Wednesday night.
Police say the two had stopped to retrieve a potted plant that had fallen from their vehicle when they were hit by a southbound driver from Highland Park.
The driver told police he didn't see the pair and tried to swerve but that he couldn't avoid the collision.
The victims were identified as Tuan Phan and Hahn Huynh. No charges have been filed.
