Developers are turning to the public for help in designing a new town center for Edison.
Intercap Holdings is launching a project called Edison Exchange in an attempt to redevelop a 44-acre plot of rundown industrial property near the Edison train station into a city center. Intercap will be holding workshops to find out what residents feel the city needs.
Residents are being encouraged to participate in surveys or stop in at a workshop to discuss their feelings on what should be built on the plot of land.
"Usually developers know why they are purchasing the property and already have ideas," says resident Denise Buzzelli. "I'm convinced they are trying to get our input."
Edison Mayor Jun Choi also says he supports the project.
