The Sustainable Highland Park Earth Day 2009 Extravaganza put learning and fun at the forefront of their eco-celebration.
Kids in attendance got a chance to get hands-on experience with recycling. One booth showed how kids can make a wallet out of old role playing cards, rather than throw them out.
The event also provided a meeting ground for teens to share how they are lowering their carbon footprint.
