Hundreds of people rallied in East Orange tonight to remember the unarmed Florida teen who was shot to death exactly one month ago.

The rally was part candle light vigil in memory of Trayvon Martin and part protest. People in the crowd demanded the man who shot Martin, neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman, be arrested.

East Orange Councilwoman Sharon Fields organized Monday's gathering on the steps of city hall. She touted the council's unanimous resolution, condemning Martin's killing and demanding a full investigation.

In the month since the teen was shot, questions have been raised about Florida's controversial "Stand Your Ground" law. The law states that the victim of an unprovoked attack as the right to "meet force with force" to prevent potential death or bodily harm. Zimmerman maintains that he shot Martin in self-defense, but the boy's friends and relatives say he wouldn't have attacked anyone.
