A family of ducklings had to be rescued from a storm drain in two separate incidents in New Jersey within a week.
People were able to rescue one family of ducklings from a storm drain outside the Costco in Edison Monday morning. Nearly 10 ducklings and their mother were brought to safety after falling down the sewer. Animal control took the ducks to be checked out.
And in Toms River, a town police officer rescued a group of ducklings that fell down a drain on Aberdeen Lane last Thursday. The officer climbed into the drain to get them out.
A post on the Toms River Police Facebook page said that the ducklings were reunited with their mother, who was waiting close by.
