WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
The chill deepens overnight to a frigid Friday morning.
With gusts will reach 30 mph. "Feels-like" temperatures could plummet to near zero, making it the coldest air of not only the year but also the season. An even deeper freeze arrives next Tuesday. It’s time to dig out the heavy winter gear.
A coastal storm?
Minor rain and snow showers are expected on Saturday that could bring half of an inch to 1" of snow, mainly north of I-95. A larger storm will develop off the coast on Sunday, but it's too early to know for certain if the storm will track close enough to bring plowable snow or if dry air will win over. As of Thursday night, most major computer models show at least some snow Sunday evening into early Monday morning. This could have impacts for the Monday morning commute.
