It very close call for a driver during a crash in Tuxedo on Thursday.
Police say a 64-year-old driver of a Lincoln Navigator suffered a medical emergency before crossing into oncoming traffic on Route 17 and slamming into the guardrail near the MTA tracks. "We believe his blood sugar was low and that caused him to pass out while driving. He went off the roadway, hit that boulder, crossed all the lanes of traffic and then went head on into the guardrail," says Tuxedo Police Officer Girard Shiloh.
The MTA is working on repairing the guardrail.
The driver is expected to be OK.
