Good Samaritan wakes up family to escape house fire in Toms River

The fire department says a lit cigarette sparked the fire outside which quickly spread to the home.

A good Samaritan helped wake up a family and get them out of their house as it went up in flames in Toms River.
The family was displaced from their home as a result of the fire.
The fire department says a lit cigarette sparked the fire outside which quickly spread to the home.
They say it happened just before midnight Saturday on Leawood Avenue.
The family of four is receiving help from the Red Cross. A GoFundMe page was also set up by the family.
No injuries were sustained.
