Dollar General has become one of the first major companies to announce extra pay for employees who get the COVID-19 vaccine.

The company is giving workers the amount equal to four hours of pay to compensate for travel time, mileage, and child care expenses incurred while getting the vaccine.

Dollar General is encouraging employees to get the shot, but not requiring it.
