Authorities say the dog was abandoned sometime between Tuesday and Thursday morning. They say the Pitbull mix is between 1-to-2 years old. The dog is all black with white markings on his chest. He is not chipped and was not wearing a collar.

The dog is in good health and is currently being cared for by the Clifton Animal Shelter, according to police.
