Montgomery Township police were asked Thursday afternoon to check on the occupants of the Wild Azalea Lane home but were unable to contact them. Police began investigating their whereabouts and entered the home Friday evening.

Lora and Sloane Grodnick were found dead in separate bedrooms. David Grodnick was also found dead inside the home with what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. A firearm was found with him, authorities said.

The Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office said investigators determined that the homicides were an isolated incident and that there is no threat to the public.
